When computing was transformed and made much easier by the availabilty towards the end of the 1980s of personal computers with hard disks, I transferred my data and created various interactive databases on my own computer. In the last few years of the last century I was then able to put them up on the World Wide Web. The major dictionaries I had put into electronic form are the dictionaries of Nicot and the founder of modern lexicography, Robert Estienne, in the period of the Renaissance; and two editions of the dictionary of the French Academy. |
